Telc exam preparation course

The Telc exam offers four Russian language certificates, covering all levels from A1-B2. Telc exams are closely aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), guaranteeing international comparability of language competence, which is very important for a successful career. The exam has been developed to serve the needs and interests of a wide variety of individuals, groups and organisations.

The exam tests general language competence and focuses on communicative competence, rather than academic skills. The written part lasts between 70 and 150 minutes (depending on the level). The oral examination will be taken in pairs or small groups creating real-life dialogs and last 15 minutes. The telc website offers some more insights on the exam.

 

Telc exam preparation on individual basis

Getting acquainted with the structure and type of tasks of the telc test are essential prerequisites for passing the exam. This is why all candidates are required to book our special one on one telc exam preparation module (5 lessons per module), scheduled for the week of the exam (Friday is the exam day). This module added to any of the regular courses guarantees the best possible preparation for the exam. Booking deadline is 4 weeks prior to the exam date. One on one telc exam preparation module can be booked in addition to any of our Group courses

Telc exam preparation module dates for 2017 year: January 30, March 13, April 24, May 15, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 18, October 23 and November 27.

Price: 240 EUR per module (5 lessons), 2+ module (fee per module): 210 EUR;
Language levels accepted: A1, A2, B1, B2;
Lessons per module: 5.

 

Telc exam dates 2017: February 3, March 17, April 28, May 19, June 16, July 14, August 18, September 22, October 27 and December 1.

 

STRUCTURE OF EXAMINATION FOR LEVELS A1, A2, B1, B2

LEVEL A1: telc Русский язык A1is a general language exam that you can normally take after an average of 100 - 150 teaching units (45 minutes). Whether you are at school, at university, employed or retired: the exam can be taken by anyone.

What can you do at level A1?
At A1 level, you can communicate in a very simple way about needs of a concrete type (e.g. introductions, food and drink, shopping, say where you live.) You can use a few very basic grammatical constructions.
What is the structure of the examination?
The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 70 minutes. The oral exam usually takes place straight after the written exam, without any preparation time.

LEVEL A 2: telc Русский язык A2 is a general language exam that you can normally take after an average of 250 – 300 teaching units (45 minutes). The exam can be taken by anyone. 

What can you do at level A2?
At A2 level, you can communicate in a simple way in typical everyday situations. In a familiar context, you can hold short conversations. You can use simple grammatical structures correctly. 

What is the structure of the examination?
The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 80 minutes. Before the oral exam, you have 15 minutes preparation time. The oral exam can take place on the day of the written exam or on another day. 

LEVEL B1: If you already have a good basic knowledge of Russian, telc Русский язык B1 is the right exam for you. It tests general language competence and can be taken by anyone.

What can you do at level B1?
At B1 level, you can communicate in a simple and connected way in everyday situations,whiletravelling and when talking about topics that are of personal interest. You can describe experiences, hopes and ambitions and give reasons for opinions. On the whole you can use the most important grammatical structures correctly. 

What is the structure of the examination?
The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 2 hours 30 minutes. Before the oral exam, you have 20 minutes of preparation time. The oral exam can take place on the day of the written exam or on another day. 

LEVEL B2: telc Русский язык B2 tests your general Russian language competence at an advanced level. The exam can be taken by anyone.

What can you do at level B2? At B2 level, you can express yourself clearly and explicitly and also successfully discuss and negotiate. You have a large command of the vocabulary needed for your field of specialization and for most general topics. Your usage of grammar is sound.

What is the structure of the examination? The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 2 hours 20 minutes. Before the oral exam, you have 20 minutes preparation time. The oral exam can take place on the day of the written exam or on another day. 

Telc EXAM FEES:

Exam for A1 and A2 levels - 70 EUR (190 EUR - Individual); Exam for B1 and B2 - 110 EUR (225 EUR - Individual).

Individual price applies in case the student passes Telc exam on the individual basis.
